Grievances in the world of work

We use the term ‘grievance’ to refer both to violations of personal integrity such as bullying, discrimination and sexual harassment, and also to violations of corporate integrity. This includes instances of employees or superiors obtaining undue perks, accepting bribes, wasting or embezzling money, breaching codes of conduct, confidentiality obligations or data security, or making impermissible accounting entries. Grievances do not only encompass actions relevant under criminal law, but also a lack of compliance with internal regulations, inaction, negligence and inappropriate conduct.
